Crown Agroforestry Group Inc. Opens Doors to Foreign Investment for State-of-the-Art Supercritical Fluid Extraction Facility

CavitePhilippines — Crown Agroforestry Group Inc., a Philippine-based sustainable agribusiness and agroforestry development firm, has formally announced its invitation to foreign investors and strategic partners for the establishment of a state-of-the-art Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) facility in the country.

The proposed facility is envisioned to support the high-purity, environmentally responsible extraction of pharmaceutical-, cosmeceutical-, and perfumery-grade compounds derived from premium agroforestry and perfumery crop plantations managed under sustainable and regenerative practices.

Supercritical Fluid Extraction, particularly using supercritical CO₂, is recognized globally as a clean, solvent-free, and highly efficient extraction technology. It enables the production of superior-quality extracts while preserving sensitive bioactive compounds, aromatic profiles, and therapeutic properties—key requirements for the pharmaceutical, wellness, and fine fragrance industries.

According to Crown Agroforestry Group Inc., the SFE facility will process a diverse portfolio of high-value botanical and perfumery crops cultivated through its integrated agroforestry systems. These include essential oil–bearing species and specialty aromatic plants that meet the increasing global demand for traceable, ethically sourced, and sustainably produced natural extracts.

“This initiative represents a strategic step toward strengthening the Philippines’ position in the global natural products value chain,” Manuelito R. Putong, Founder & Chairman stated. “By combining advanced green extraction technology with sustainable agroforestry plantations, we aim to deliver world-class extracts while creating long-term value for farmers, investors, and industry partners.”

The investment opportunity is positioned not only as an industrial venture but also as a platform for technology transfer, research collaboration, and export-oriented manufacturing. Crown Agroforestry Group Inc. is actively seeking partners with expertise in extraction technologies, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fragrances, and sustainable manufacturing, as well as financial institutions and impact investors aligned with environmental and social governance (ESG) principles.

Industry observers note that the Philippines, with its rich biodiversity, skilled agricultural workforce, and growing emphasis on green technologies, is well-placed to emerge as a regional hub for advanced botanical extraction in Southeast Asia. The proposed SFE facility is expected to enhance local value addition, reduce raw material exports, and elevate the country’s role in high-margin global markets.

With this initiative, Crown Agroforestry Group Inc. reinforces its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, signaling a new chapter in the Philippines’ agroforestry and natural products industry.
